What Strip Tracker Module Loading does

The RAL Strip Tracker Module Loading Gantry with an almost finished Stave present.
One of the last steps of the Strip Tracker Assembly before it can be integrated into the ATLAS Experiment is the assembly of loaded cores, that is local support structures with modules attached to them. The main ingredient in this assembly step (apart from components and glue) is precision: Modules need to be located to specified positions relativ to the local support core. Once the process of adhering modules to the structure is done, a survey needs to report actual positions and
Whilst the main ingredient is modules, Module Loading also deals with loading End-of-Substructure (EoS) cards and bus terminations. Only when all these are mounted according to procedures, can a structure be put through testing and be declared ready for integration.
